Today Room 3 had a wonderful time visiting Fordell Pre-school.  Zappo the magician came along and entertained the boys and girls for almost an hour with his magic tricks.  The children agreed that the best part was when Zappo waved his wand and turned a wind up rabbit into a real one!  We had an amazing time and learned lots about life in the bush and recycling.  Our close links with Pre-school means that there is a smooth transition when the children start full time schooling.  What a great day!

Max and John are working on the computers.  We use them for maths and reading using the starfall website which is great.  Happy faces all round.

Bible Studies with Mrs Jays

On Thursday mornings Mrs Jays comes to Room 3 and tells the children stories from the Bible.  The children love to hear about Jesus and ask very interesting questions.  They have a special workbook with lots of colourful pictures and activities to complete.  We often finish the half hour with a song and always say a prayer.  Thanks Mrs Jays.

When it's birthday time we like to celebrate together.  Mum's cakes are always delicious!

Managing Self!

Last term Room 3 had the challenge of 'Managing Self' as their key competency.  The children decided that they needed to have their pencils ready, organize their shoes, tidy their desks, put their chairs under and many more things.  We enjoyed working out how we could help each other to reach our targets.  Look at the happy faces of Room 3 at Fordell School.
