Room 3 Rocks!

We bounce through the door each morning ready to go! We love our school, teachers and everyone else who comes along to visit us. We try to keep fit with lots of sport, jump jam, cross country and swimming in the summer. Children publish new posts on the blog independently and so some spellings may not be correct. Come and have a look!

Pictogram Precision

In Maths we made a human graph to show when our birthdays were.  Then we made a pictogram and displayed it on the wall in Room 4.  Now we are going to add all the rest of the children in the school.

Super Swimming Sensations

Last week's swimming sports at The Splash Centre was a fantastic event.  All the children from Fordell swam;  some did races, some demonstrated their talents and others danced in the water chanting nursery rhymes.  Thanks to all the parents and family members who turned up to support the event.  Awesome!

Balloon Bonanza!

In Science last week we did a balloon jet experiment.  We threaded a straw onto a piece of string and then taped an air filled balloon to the straw.  The string was pulled tight and when the balloon was released it forced the straw to the other end of the string.  A different shaped balloon travelled a different distance because of the air resistance.  Friction eventually stopped the straw.  Great fun.

Time Together

A wonderful time with pre-school.
Pre-school and Room 3 get together every fortnight to share reading time.  Everyone really enjoys the experience.
Brothers, sisters and friends unite to share a story.

Gravity testing!

The children in Room 3 have been finding out about gravity.  Gravity certainly helps you go down the slide.
Trying to defy gravity didn't last very long!
 Hang on in there boys!
 And girls!

Learning outdoors is great fun.  Room 3 know that gravity is a force that pulls everything towards the centre of the Earth.
