Room 3 Rocks!

We bounce through the door each morning ready to go! We love our school, teachers and everyone else who comes along to visit us. We try to keep fit with lots of sport, jump jam, cross country and swimming in the summer. Children publish new posts on the blog independently and so some spellings may not be correct. Come and have a look!

An unusual and very exciting day at Fordell!

Today it snowed in Fordell for the first time in many, many years.  Some families believe that snow has not fallen on their land for over 100 years so you can imagine the excitement when the white stuff started falling on some very startled little faces.  Here are some recounts done by the children of Room 3.

This morning, half an hour before school, my mummy was talking on the phone to my nanny.  All of a sudden my mum said, "Ben there's snow at Fordell!" and then I was dancing around like a crazy thing.

I woke up and I looked out of the door and I saw snow.  I saw ice too!

I threw a snowball at Ben!

This morning my dad pulled me out of bed and said, "Look outside."  I was bursting with excitement, so was my brother.  I saw snow!

Mum said, "Wake up, wake up Ryan."  We went outside to look at the snow.

In the morning I was awake and Dad was awake too.  I saw dad go in the kitchen.  I went in the kitchen too.  I saw him doing our lunch for school and then he saw me  and he said, "Do you want to see something magical?"  He opened the curtains and there was snow everywhere!

I went in the snow.  I played snow fights.

In the morning my mum was screaming loudly down the old hallway.  "Snow, snow, show!" she shouted.  I got up and out of bed.  I looked out of my mum and dad's bedroom window.  There was gleaming, sparkling snow on the ground.  Our roof was smooth with snow.  I ran outside and had a fantastic snowball fight with my dad.

Ka-boom!  Snow fell from the sky as fast as ever.  When I got out of my bed I pulled my curtain then I got dressed, went outside, and started throwing snowballs at my dad's truck.

This morning Mum woke me up and it was snowing.  I felt happy.  Aunty Carolyn dropped us off at school.

In the morning Rebekah came running into my lovely room as fast as a bright spotted cheetah say, "Lauren there's snow, there's snow, there's snow!"  Then she grabbed my hand and pulled me out into the lounge.  I looked out of the window and there was snow and then I grabbed Chatterbox (our class mascot) and showed him and he started yelling so hard that he broke all his beautiful bones in his body!  After Rebekah and I had breakfast and did our chores, we went outside to make a snowman.  Later we went on the bus to go to school and I saw heaps of snow on the way.  When the bus got to school I threw heaps of snowballs at everyone.  It was fun!

This morning my dad shouted, "Come here I have something to show you," and I had to walk to the deck.  I saw snow!  It was so cold.  My feet were so cold that I kicked my dad in the tummy.  We got to stay up the rest of our sleep time.  Then I had my breakfast and I went to play in the snow with dad.  I played a snowball fight with him and once I got him in the head and he was on the phone.  All the time I was getting him then he got me.  We were doing it for 90 minutes.  He pushed us down in a baby pool twice.  We made a mini snowman and it took us 10 minutes to do it.  We had a picture with us and the snowman.  We kicked the snowman and Dad skidded down the hill.  We saw some grass and I did sliding for 10 minutes!
